Omar Malik
Founder and Principal Data Scientist
Omar has deep skills in strategic analysis and data science. He has worked in teaching and research over the last few decades. He has served on the faculties of Philadelphia University, State University of New York, College at Geneseo, Oakland University, Ohio Northern University, Heidelberg University and most recently Kettering University.
He has worked on numerous data science projects both for academia and industry. He has also developed and taught data science classes at Heidelberg University and Kettering University. His research has been published in reputable journals in his field. His current research is on how businesses build analytics capabilities successfully.
Ahmad Jamal Khan
Chief Coordinator
Ahmad Jamal Khan is the Chief Coordinator for the team. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the financial service industry spanning over three decades, in sales, distribution, risk management, regulatory compliance, financial inclusion and strategy. His experience is deeply rooted in leadership roles with leading institutions such as Standard Chartered Bank, ANZ Bank, Habib Bank Limited, Albaraka Bank and Middle East Bank. Jamal has worked across regions and cultures. Hired, managed and trained teams. At Azra Analytics, he has led and managed the implementation of a major data collection and analysis exercise for the CDC and GHD.

Shahbaz
Data Scientist
Shahbaz is an accomplished Data Scientist. He has published academic papers on convolutional neural network applications, one of which won the Best Paper Award at an IEEE-sponsored conference. As part of that research, he also developed iOS and WatchOS applications that could use audio data to generate predictions in real time. He has three years of experience working in a fast-paced startup environment in the insurance industry to develop end-to-end data solutions, including building data pipelines, visualizations, and interpreting results for stakeholders. He also worked on various web scrapers and business operations internal tools.
He has worked on the CDC project with Azra Analytics to analyze, visualize and report data on the health data infrastructure of a large emerging economy.
